Jackie Banks is a lonely sixteen-year-old growing up in a small, religious town. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Steven, a man who can hear the voice of God. Drawn in by his certainty and the intensity of his faith, Jackie begins to spend more time with him. As their relationship deepens, the lines between spiritual devotion and emotional dependence begin to blur, setting in motion an unraveling that neither of them fully understands.

 

Seeking Rapture is a feature length, psychological horror that lingers in the space between longing and belief. Set in a town shaped by silence and spiritual certainty, the film explores how faith can comfort, isolate, or consume, and how love can begin as something tender and end as something harder to escape. It’s a story about power that doesn’t always look like power, and devotion that turns inward before it turns dangerous.
